Serves 4

• Butter knob to grease oval baking dish
• Potatoes 4-5 large, peeled uncooked
• Gold Top Milk 350ml
• Fresh garlic 2-3 cloves, peeled
• Parmesan cheese 3-4 tbsp – freshly grated
• Salt and Black pepper to taste

1. Preheat the oven to 190ºC/375ºF/Gas mark 5.
2. Grease an oval baking dish (about 2 litre size) generously with butter
3. Slice the potatoes finely
4. Heat the milk and crush or grate the garlic into the milk.
5. Place a layer of potatoes on the bottom of the baking dish, scatter with Parmesan and seasoning, continue adding layers of potato, scattering with parmesan and seasoning between layers. Season the top of the dish.
6. Pour or ladle the warm milk over the potatoes, making sure it is evenly distributed
7. Bake for 1 hour and 15 mins, or until crisp and bubbling.
